Professor, Seogang University
Dr. Young S. Park is a Professor of Finance at Sogang University where he has taught since 1998.
Prior to coming to Sogang University he taught at Dongguk University, Rikkyo University and International University of Japan.
Professor Park began his professional career at the Korea Development Bank (KDB) for a year before leaving to study
at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania where he obtained his Ph.D. in finance in 1990.
He has published dozens of papers on corporate finance, capital markets and corporate governance.
In particular, his work has focused on the efficiency and constraints of capital investment by Korean chaebol firms.
Professor Park is currently working as a President of Korea Money and Finance Association and
Chairman of Korea Public Funds Management Committee.
